ITC interprets award of honorary doctorate to Nobel Chemistry laureate Jean-Marie Lehn in Malaga
ITC Worldwide was yesterday responsible for simultaneous interpreting at the conference whereby the University of Málaga awarded an honorary doctorate to Jean-Marie Lehn, winner of the 1987 Nobel Chemistry Prize due to his work on the principles of molecular interaction.
Lehn was born in the French town of Rosheim in 1939. During his speech he described chemistry as being not just the “science of matter” but also the “science of information”, whose essence “is to create new expressions of complex material”. “We are also part of the periodic table of the elements,” he stated.
